13th EHBBC Show-Betta Competition Duisburg 2009

Je me permets de transmettre l'annonce pour le show de Duisburg en Allemagne.
Malheureusement, cette année il tombe en même temps que le show de Châtel-Guyon en Auvergne.
J'ai vu hier le vice-président de l'EHBBC, nous avons pu parler de ce problème, car il faudra dorénavant faire en sorte que cela ne se reproduise plus.
L'EHBBC est tenu à cette date, car leur show se fait dans le cadre de la grande foire annuelle aquariophile de Duisburg.

We are proud to announce our next show-betta competition in Duisburg 2009!

During our IBC sactioned show with Rajiv Masillamoni as our main judge, show betta splendens bred by many european and asian breeders will be judged by IBC-standards, shown at the EHBBC stand and auctioned.

With at least 3 daily auctions all visitors will have the chance to purchase many different betta of breeders quality. The winning fish of the competition will be available starting Saturday.

At our stand the club members will be there to inform you about keeping, maintaining and breeding siamese fighting fish.

Fair information:

Entry fees:

• Daily ticket adult: EUR 10,-
• Combined ticket for all 4 days: EUR 25,-
• Reduced tickets: EUR 8,-
• Children under age 7: free entry
• Free parking
• The ticket you purchase for the fair is also valid for entering the “1. Internationale Chichlidentage” and vice versa

Public Transport:
Take the city train 903 starting at Duisburg main station or Dinslaken to the station „Landschaftspark“, from there walk into Emscherstraße (ca. 5 minutes), entry Emscherstraße.

By car:
Exit the A42 at Duisburg-Neumühl, turn right into the B8, direction Obermeiderich, until Emscherstraße (please follow the signs “Landschaftspark”). Free parking available.

Competitors:

The entry form will soon be available to download, please fill it out completely (except box numbers). All informations regarding entry fees for your fish, shipping adress etc. will be also there on the form. In case you want to sell extra fish in the auction and don’t want to enter them into the competition, please note that in the special section on the form.

Auction profit splitting: 75% breeder and 25% EHBBC or 90% assistants and 10% EHBBC.

In case you send fish the package has to contain the following: Fish (please make sure that color, fin form and class is written on the bag), copy of entry form, bags to return the fish, entry fees, postage rate and adress to return the fish and heat packs (if you want to have your fish returned).

Hi,
please note that we have to correct the date for the latest arrival of the fish via post for the show. It is NOT the 30th of Sept.

They have to arrive the latest at Sept. 29th, 2009!

Hi,
just in case anyone of you plans to visit the betta show in Duisburg I'd like to inform you that we thought about an evening program for Oct. 2nd 09 at the fair in Duisburg. Starting at about 7:30 p.m. we will have a BBQ at the youth hostel at the fair area (BBQ outside, eating depending on the weather also inside possible). At about 9:15 p.m. we reserved an extra room in the youth hostel, where Joep van Esch will be so nice and hold his speech "Selective Breeding" for us, as there was lot of interest about this topic here lately. The BBQ will cost 6,70 € per person and covers about 1 cutlet, 1 sausage, 1 portion of salad and 1 mineral water. Also a vegetarian BBQ version would be avialable. Afterwards we could all go to a closeby pub and talk betta as long as we want! Regarding the BBQ we would have to let the youth hostel know for how many people they shall calculate it all for! So, if anyone wants to come and have a nice evening together with us all please let us know here (also if vegetarian or not)!
